Rugby fever has peaked across the country as we gear up to watch one of the most anticipated NRL Grand Finals in recent years. After a year of unprecedented controversy, the rugby world’s attention turns to Sydney Olympic Park on Sunday when the St George Illawarra Dragons and the Sydney Roosters line up to decide the 2010 premiership.

Supporters from all over the country are expected to flood into Sydney to watch their beloved team battle it out. In 2009, over 16,500 interstate visitors came to the city for the NRL grand final to see the Melbourne Storm beat the Parramatta Eels. Fans were excited to see their favourite players bring home the silverware, watching the likes of Craig Inglis and Daniel Mortimer closely on the day.

According to the latest White Pages® data, in NSW, there are 227 Inglis’ and 297 Mortimers. Who will the star players be on Sunday?

If you want the early mail on which team will win, consider what we’re found by searching business names in www.whitepages.com.au. According to White Pages® data, it’s the “Roosters” over the “Dragons” with 540 business name listings in NSW compared with only 161.

And just like we suggested for the AFL Grand Final - part 1 -  last week, if you are firing up the BBQ, make sure you’ve filled up the gas bottle, ordered snags from your favourite butcher and have stocked up on tomato sauce and bread rolls.   For those who want to avoid the game, check out session times at the local cinema or hit the shops for some retail therapy.  And if you are heading out to your local pub, give them a call to book a table, check that they are televising the game, and find out if they have any special activities planned.

Enjoy your day and with the NRL's golden point policy, relax knowing that at least we won't have to endure a draw!
