White Pages Covers Program
Sustainability duo Sara and Peter Field become familiar faces on the Campbelltown White Pages® cover
September 22, 2011
Picton residents Sara and Peter Field have been selected to appear on the cover of this year’s Campbelltown Yellow Pages® and White Pages® book which will be distributed throughout Campbelltown, Camden, Picton and surrounding towns from 28 May 2011.
Each year, Sensis, the publisher of the Yellow Pages® and White Pages®, recognises the contribution of local residents in the community by featuring them on the cover of its books.
The theme for this year’s covers, Australians Creating a Better Future, recognises people throughout Australia who have made a positive contribution to their community through projects or initiatives that help to make a better future for Australia. These projects have contributed environmentally, economically and/or socially to the local community and will benefit the next generation of Australians.
Sara and Peter’s selection recognises their dedication to promoting sustainability throughout the community, and encouraging residents to help restore the local environment.
In 2002, Sara and Peter started the Redbank Landcare Group to improve the biodiversity in their surrounding area. The significant improvement to the local environment has seen many of the native animals including wallabies, echidnas, snakes, lizards and several species of birds return to restored sites.
Away from Landcare, Peter works as a firefighter and Sara is the marketing officer for a local not-for-profit organisation. In addition, they are both members of committees that monitor water quality, waste reduction and energy efficiency in Picton.
“We have been working to improve the local environment and encourage others to live more sustainably for many years. To be recognised for our efforts is truly humbling,” said Sara.
Sara and Peter also participate in regular activities that encourage the wider community to consider a sustainable lifestyle.
Did you know? The last three local people to appear on the Campbelltown Yellow Pages® and White Pages® cover were:

2009/10: Campbelltown resident, Patricia Johnston, appeared on the cover under the theme Creative Australians: Inspiring our Communities. Patricia has played a pivotal arts role in Camden and Campbelltown as the founding Chairman of the Australian Decorative and Fine Arts Societies.
2008/09: John and Sally Fairley were the cover heroes for the Celebrating Australian Flavour theme, recognised for their significant contribution to the local dairy industry by running the Country Valley Boutique Dairy in Picton.
