White Pages Covers Program
Australians Creating a Better Future - Nomination Criteria
August 31, 2010
Sensis is recognising Australians who are creating a better future and we are asking the public to nominate a local to feature on the cover of our directories next year.
The annual ‘Covers’ program acknowledges the achievements of local heroes by featuring them on the cover of Yellow Pages® and White Pages® books in 59 regions across Australia.
Next year, Sensis is highlighting the contributions Australians are making in helping to sustain vibrant local communities and we want to celebrate their hard work and success by featuring them on the cover of our print directories.
We are looking for nominees who are making the future better through their positive contributions to the economy, environment or social surroundings. The nominees must fit the theme’s criteria in one or more of the following ways:
- Undertaken projects/activities to reduce environmental impact, conserve or protect the local environment
- Made a positive contribution to the local economy through employment or use of local resources and suppliers
- Undertaken projects/activities that have contributed positively to the future prosperity of the local community in terms of social and/or financial health
- Acted for the common good with a focus on the future as well as today
- Showed strong leadership in their community on environmental and/or social issues to achieve a better and stronger future.
You may nominate someone who runs a business or is employed by a local organisation but their act(s) to make the community stronger and more sustainable must demonstrate how they've gone above and beyond for the betterment of the community. The nominees should also have a strong association and/or history with their local area.
Anyone can nominate a community member for the cover of their 2011/12 Yellow Pages® and White Pages® book, and this year, it couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is complete the Nominations form on this site.
*** Please note all Nominations for 2011/12 have now closed ***
So get nominating – we look forward to hearing and sharing with you the stories of Australians who are creating a better future.
